Even at the age of 54, he isn’t showing any signs of slowing down as he was diligently working on to get the superhero shape.
The 8,000-Calorie Challenge
Jackman (through his Instagram) revealed his intensive diet plan, a crucial component of his superhero transformation.
His daily meals included sirloin steaks, chicken burgers, and substantial fish servings, all adding up to a whopping 8,000 calories, expressing his gratitude towards his chef Mario for crafting meals fit for a superhero role.
He also respects the importance of time to achieve his desired physique by dedicating six months exclusively to training before the filming even began.
His commitment also involved a lifestyle where he prioritized time being with his family following a rigorous fitness routine.
Well, to be honest, this isn’t the first time, we’ve seen Jackman being serious about such a transition.
In 2014, he had once already embarked on the preparation for X-Men: Days of Future Past.
He believes that dance was the main reason behind his muscle loss
According to an interview by the LA times, Jackman says -
“when I dance I drop muscle very quickly. The body is very smart and efficient, and a traditional dancer’s body is not going to be bulked up on top because they’re muscles that you don’t really need”.
His Wolverine workout training included 100 clapping push-ups, phase training for lean muscle development, and heavy-weight sets.
The actor used to share snippets of his body-building journey on social media.
As fans eagerly await Deadpool and Wolverine, Jackman’s Instagram is found to be flooded with workout videos.
Despite the challenges, fans are excited about Wolverine’s highly anticipated return to the big screen.
