Why Overpowered ai is the best AI YouTube channel ever
Learn complex concepts about the latest AI in a fun and casual way
So yesterday I was on my usual YouTube binge, scrolling through MK 11 videos, Yeah I like Mortal Kombat games, and MK X is my favourite.
But after scrolling through a dozen, I finally found a video on AI and my curiosity was piqued, the name of the channel was “overpowered ai”.
After seeing that short video, I navigated through the channel and there was ton of long form videos — totally focused on AI.
Overall the channel was run by 2 popular Indian YouTubers named — Tanmay Bhatt and Varun Mayya.
These guys talk about AI, usually ChatGPT, how it can impact our future, and how AI can be developed and improved gradually.
To be honest, instead of Tanmay, I mostly consider Varun’s point of view, knowledge, and vision on AI to be interesting and optimistic
Because Bhatt usually queries and surpasses his humour in the video to make it interesting and funny,
He frequently asks Varun “what if” questions and sometimes — oh! I see, so that’s the reason”.
One of the best videos I’ve watched on their channel was “How ChatGPT is turning everyone into a Data Scientist”.
Trust me; it’s a mind-blowing watch.
Basically, the video breaks down into several parts, but code interpreter was my favourite topic
So, what’s Code Interpreter?
It is a python execution GPT 4 plugin, that takes ChatGPT to the next level, you can say a lookalike of autoGPT,
I was thinking to write an article over “code interpreter” by doing some research, but after seeing the video, I totally dropped that idea because Varun’s explanation was enough.
Basically, code interpreter is capable of doing data analysis, suppose you upload an Excel sheet that contains a huge chunk of cleaned data, you can ask it to
- extract important insights.
- present infographics,
- you can upload any type of file (.txt, .xlsx, .csv, .pdf etc)
Varun explains that the plugin is running numerous Python libraries in the backend.
As, it isn’t possible to have numerous Python libraries for a specific task so, the plugin just uses the required library depending on the user’s request and simply executes the job.
He also added that in the future we might be coding in simple plain English language, and with developments like code interpreter it might be possible.
You can watch the video below where they do data analysis of IPL matches from 2008 to 2022 on the interpreter.
Another video worth mentioning is about an AI video generation tool called RunawayML, well the full video was curated on various topics, but this part seems to be interesting.
RunawayML (Gen-2)
In this part, Tanmay and Varun, both discuss the current scenario or condition of AI video generation.
Varun, while explaining the concept, was repeatedly using a term called “Fidelity”,
At first, I was like, “What’s he talking about?”
But later I caught on.
Tanmay drops a question,
Could these video tools replace a film production house’s work?
Varun replies that — well, presently and even after years, it cannot replace the position, as AI videos cannot maintain the frame consistency or “fidelity”.
As it is very hard to insert particular elements in the video manually based on your thoughts and that’s nearly impossible
Do you really have the time to craft 1000s of prompts to create a scene which accurately matches with your imagination?
Well surprisingly, this case is not the same for image generation as you can choose from 1000s of images and can pick out the most favourable ones that suits you.

I tried RunawayML(Gen-2) for the 1st time
So, I was inspired by the video generation tool and after watching the video I rushed towards runaway’s website, created an account, and generated these two 4-second short videos for free.
Well, I previously had an image generated from SDXL, so it was not time consuming.

As I discovered RunawayML yesterday, I was not able to try-out it’s other features, but I’ll will surely lookout later.
Maybe, I could land a full review-based article over it? Who knows?
